The National Science Foundation (NSF) Directorate for STEM Education (EDU) and Directorate for Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships (TIP) are accepting applications for the Fostering Interdisciplinary Networks to Develop Emergency and Responsive Solutions Foundry (NSF FINDERS Foundry) program. The program will bring together interdisciplinary K-12 science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education stakeholders to advance innovation in STEM education through collaborative, community-driven work, and give students early opportunities to engage with skills needed to pursue careers in STEM.

The FINDERS Foundry program has a planning phase and development phase. The planning phase supports early collaboration among teams and focuses on a challenge track from the NSF FINDERS Foundry dashboard, funding activities such as stakeholder engagement, data collection, early validation and pilot testing. If you are awarded a planning phase award, you may be eligible to apply to the development phase, which focuses on building and refining prototypes based off input from K-12 learners, their parents and educators.

Each proposal team must include at least one K-12 educator, researcher, technologist, and parent or guardian of a K-12 student, and one of them must be the primary investigator on the award.

Planning proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27.Review the full solicitation for additional details.
