This NOFO will focus on research synthesis and operational research aimed at controlling and eliminating selected NTDs and other parasitic diseases, as well as approaches to integrated activities that cross health sectors. The project should address an important problem or critical barrier that is limiting progress in NTD/parasitic disease prevention. Applications should clearly explain how achieving the project aims will enhance scientific knowledge, technical capability, or public health outcomes. The application should detail how successful completion of the aims will transform the concepts, methods, technologies, treatments, services, or preventive interventions that drive NTD/parasitic disease prevention.


You’ll address in your application how to conduct strategic and applied research to:



  • Inform NTD/parasitic disease control and elimination activities, including program impact M&E, in NTD/parasitic disease endemic countries and US territories.

  • Provide tools and information to improve NTD/parasitic disease program activities.

  • Support integration of evaluation and surveillance activities for multiple parasitic diseases and NTDs, where possible.
