Alison Hogue serves as the director of recruitment and retention for the  University of South Carolina's College of Arts & Sciences. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, her Master of Arts degree in Teaching, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration - all from USC.

Prior to joining the Office of Undergraduate Studies, Hogue was the assistant director of employer relations for the Darla Moore School of Business. She has also worked in experiential education, career coaching, and employer relationship management for the USC Career Center. Other roles include working for USC's Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the Department of English Language and Literature, and the Golden Apple Foundation in Chicago. She has taught career readiness courses and public speaking classes for USC and Limestone University.

In her spare time, Hogue has held leadership positions for the South Carolina Association of Colleges and Employers, the Southeastern Cooperative Education Conference, the Provost's Advisory Committee for Women's Issues, and she is currently serving on the board of directors for the Southern Association of Colleges and Employers. In addition, she has received committee appointments for the National Association of Colleges and Employers and the National Career Development Association. She loves to travel and has a goal of visiting all seven continents (she has visited five so far) and creating her own study abroad course for students.
