Beyond the Screen: Computer Science with the micro:bit
November 17th – 9:00am - 2:30pm – Lunch Provided
Discover engaging ways to teach computer science using the micro:bit! In this hands-on
workshop, participants will explore foundational computer science concepts through
interactive programming and physical computing activities that can be easily integrated
into the classroom. Teachers will gain practical lesson ideas, classroom-ready resources,
and confidence using the micro:bit to support student learning. Each participant will receive a free micro:bit kit to continue exploring and implementing these activities after the workshop.

VEX IQ Fall Refresher
Sept 14th -- 9:00am - 2:30pm -- Lunch Provided
Prepare for another successful VEX IQ season with RECF! This workshop will provide
teachers with essential updates on the upcoming season, including game rules, program
changes, and key deadlines. We'll discuss team organization, practice planning, and
competition logistics, while exploring game concepts, strategy, and effective coaching
techniques. Participants will leave with practical resources and ideas to build a
strong program and equip students for success throughout the VEX IQ season.
