Dr. Dirk B. den Ouden directs the Neurolinguistics Laboratory. This lab studies how the brain supports language, with an emphasis on the breakdown of language functions after brain damage in adults, for example after stroke.
Aphasia Lab
Dr. Julius Fridriksson directs the Aphasia Lab and is a professor in the department of communication science and disorders. The Aphasia Lab focuses on understanding the neurophysiology of aphasia recover in stroke, understanding speech motor perception in normal and disordered populations, and understanding the neural basis of motor speech processing.
