Campus Visits

We do not offer unscheduled campus tours to the public. Your scheduled "Day in the Life of a Medical Student" visit is with a current first year medical student and is subject to slot availability. Please complete this request form for more information.

This program is open to prospective applicants. Applicants selected to interview will need to plan a visit during one of our Open House events. (more details will be provided during your interview day).

Day in the Life of a Medical Student

Your tour of the campus is one-on-one with a current first-year medical student.  This will give you a better understanding of everything our school has to offer. You will attend first-year lectures and labs, visit the Ultrasound Institute, tour the campus and have the chance to ask your guide any questions.

Columbia is the capital of South Carolina and the second-largest city in the state. The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia campus is a beautifully landscaped campus with lush lawns, mature trees and convenient parking. It is located four miles east of the main campus and adjacent to the Dorn VA Medical Center.
