Biography

Sriram Venkataraman is an associate professor, a Distinguished Moore Fellow and Department Chair in the Department of Management Science at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. He holds a doctoral degree from Clemson University, master's degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Alabama and a bachelor's degree from the University of Mumbai, India. He has professional experience with Netscribes (India) Pvt. Ltd. as an Associate. 

His primary research interests are in service operations (including healthcare, banking, and retail operations), sustainability, innovation and new product development. His research problems utilize a wide range of empirical methods, including structural estimation, reduced form estimation and advanced frontier estimation techniques. His work has appeared in journals such as Manufacturing & Services Operations Management, Information Systems Research, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Operations Management, and Quality Management Journal. He is a department editor for Decision Sciences Journal, senior editor for Production and Operations Management, and an associate editor for Journal of Operations Management and Service Science.
