Grant Readiness, Empowerment and Advocacy Training

GREAT leverages University resources to provide technical assistance to South Carolina organizations pursuing grants. GREAT builds on the work of the former South Carolina office of a southeastern TCTAC (Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center). GREAT services are open to any South Carolina municipality or community-based organization, including for-profit organizations. GREAT is supported by a grant from the Henry H. Luce Foundation.

What GREAT Offers

test
“As someone who has spent countless hours searching for financial assistance to fund various initiatives, receiving help evaluating, writing, and applying for grants was a great personal relief.”

Keisha Long
South Carolina Public Health Association President

Grant Writing Assistance Awards

Provides several months of free technical assistance from Master students in Public Health working with a faculty supervisor. Awards typically run from January to May. Assistance helps with goals that awardees have identified related to grant support, such as developing an empirically supported narrative for grant applications, assistance in finding grant applications, and building organizational capacity. One possible result is submitting a completed grant application to a funder.
