Community Volunteers & Pro Bono

The Tax Clinic welcomes volunteer assistance from anyone interested in helping low-income taxpayers move towards financial stability, including law firms and lawyers, CPAs, and other tax professionals. We know there are many worthy organizations out there, so we appreciate you considering us as a place to give your valuable time and energy.  

The Tax Clinic regularly partners with the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division, the Pro Bono Program, and the Cooperative Ministry on VITA, as well as local law firms and lawyers who provide pro bono legal assistance to our Tax Clinic clients.

PLEASE NOTE:  There are limited Tax Clinic volunteer opportunities. If you can only volunteer in a remote capacity, please be sure to indicate that in the comments section. Additionally, due to the sensitive nature of the work and information involved, screening includes a brief interview and request for a resume. This process is set up to ensure a mutually beneficial experience.
