Certain students are required to have coverage and will be automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) unless they waive by the deadline, while SHIP enrollment is also available for all other students. The University of South Carolina does not require domestic law students to have health insurance in order to enroll in law school. More information about the student groups required to have health insurance can be found here.
Please contact the Student Health Services office if you have any questions regarding health insurance. For all other questions, please contact the School of Law Student Affairs Office at 803-777-6843.
