Commencement is a combined ceremony held in Columbia for both the University of South Carolina Greenville and Columbia medical schools.

Convocation
Convocation is a very personal opportunity for faculty, staff, friends, family and the Greenville community to come together and celebrate the many accomplishments of fourth-year students.

Match Day
Match Day occurs annually on the third Friday of March for every allopathic medical school in the United States. Students are informed of their placements at noon on the dot.

White Coat Ceremony
During the White Coat Ceremony our first-year medical students students pledge their commitment to the profession and to the health of the patients they will serve, then they receive their white coats, a symbol of their entry into the medical profession.
